The Cannabis Control Board has begun its search for an Executive Director, and with crossover a few weeks behind us, the House has finally taken up bill S.25, the preeminent legislation to amend Act 164, which landed in the Committee of Government Operations where lawmakers overviewed the status of the new market’s rollout along with key provisions in the bill.
Read MoreOver the past few weeks, the Senate has been busy working on a handful of cannabis-related bills, including S.25, which has emerged as the preeminent vehicle to amend Act 164. While the four other cannabis-related bills in the State House are less likely to pass, the crossover deadline was last Friday and we should know more by next week. The Cannabis Control Board still has not formed, but we anticipate they will finally convene by the end of this month.
