CCB Meeting Brief Overview
On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the Cannabis Control Board held its monthly meeting approving one initial license and sixty-six license renewals. Representatives from the Department of Environmental Conservation's Solid Waste Management Program were present to discuss the waste stream for regulated products. Chair Pepper gave an overview of Act 56 (2025), and the Board also engaged in discussions on various issues. According to the Cannabis Control Board, there are currently 618 active licenses.
Retailer Principles
As Jon at Spruce Mountain Cannabis and Matthew and their team at Gram Central are well aware, Vermont, despite its small size, is home to world-class cannabis producers. To ensure the success of the regulated cannabis industry, it must prioritize shared interests over division, collaboration over competition, systemic reform over individual gain, and create a just and viable marketplace similar to Vermont’s thriving beer and cheese industries. The Retailer Principles offer a set of clear and guiding values that retailers can adopt and play a crucial role in the market.
Vermont Cannabis Industry Emergency Fund
Cannabis farms and businesses are not eligible for federal emergency relief dollars, and the ongoing extreme weather events, as the result of human-caused climate change, affect licensees up and down the adult-use supply chain. The VGA Vermont Cannabis Industry Emergency Fund (VCIEF) is a collective action initiative for the industry by the industry, and grants are now open for applications.
The VCIEF is available to assist Vermont-licensed cannabis farms and businesses of every type in financial need after being adversely affected by natural and unnatural disasters.Learn more →

Consumer Petition to Remove the THC Caps from Act 164

Take a moment now to add your name to the petition to remove the THC caps and reform the prohibitive product language in Act 164.
