Community Action Workshop

How do I best engage with my local legislators about cannabis? Who are my local legislators? How do I move them to support my interests? Vermont legislators regulated cannabis for adults just a few years ago, which means most lawmakers in Montpelier are still unfamiliar with the plant and the legal marketplace.

Join us for a free online workshop on Thursday, August 28, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. You'll learn effective strategies for engaging with your legislators, what to say to help them better understand your needs, and receive support for your outreach efforts.

Retailer Principles

As Jon at Spruce Mountain Cannabis and Matthew and their team at Gram Central are well aware, Vermont, despite its small size, is home to world-class cannabis producers. To ensure the success of the regulated cannabis industry, it must prioritize shared interests over division, collaboration over competition, systemic reform over individual gain, and create a just and viable marketplace similar to Vermont’s thriving beer and cheese industries. The Retailer Principles offer a set of clear and guiding values that retailers can adopt and play a crucial role in the market.

The VGA Vermont Cannabis Industry Emergency Fund (VCIEF) is a collective action initiative for the industry by the industry, and grants are now open for applications.

The VCIEF is available to assist Vermont-licensed cannabis farms and businesses of every type in financial need after being adversely affected by natural and unnatural disasters.Learn more →
